Iwan Streichenberger

CEO

Iwan Streichenberger joined inBloom as Chief Executive Officer in November 2012 and oversaw inBloom’s establishment as a nonprofit enterprise. As an experienced education and technology executive, Iwan brings a passion for personalized learning and a deep understanding of how vendors, developers, administrators and teachers work together to implement technology to solve education challenges. Iwan’s enthusiasm for personalized learning has grown over his thirteen year career in the education, technology and media industries. Iwan joined inBloom from his role as the President of Learner Response Systems and Assessment at Promethean, a leader in the interactive education technology space.

Prior to Promethean, Iwan managed Houghton Mifflin’s global strategy, corporate development and M&A activity, both immediately after its acquisition by Vivendi Universal and throughout the LBO led by Bain Capital, Thomas H. Lee and Blackstone. During those years, Iwan also became the President of Edusoft, which he grew into a leader in the nascent formative assessment market. He also led Classwell, a Houghton Mifflin joint-venture with Sylvan, and a precursor to current Instructional Improvement Systems (“IIS”) where he saw the value of individualized education firsthand. Previously, Iwan was the Chief Operating Officer of Flipside, Vivendi Universal’s European online gaming portal. Following Vivendi Universal’s acquisition of Houghton Mifflin, Iwan was actively involved as the educational publisher entered into numerous partnerships with content, services and education players in multiple countries, as VP of Strategy, Technology and Corporate Development. Iwan began his career with Bain and Company, the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), as well as L’Oreal South Africa.

Iwan has also held several board positions for the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) in the education division. He has a Master in Management from ESCP Europe in Paris, France and is fluent in French and English and can also speak some German and Spanish. Iwan lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and two young children.


Virginia Bartlett

Chief Privacy Officer 
inBloom, Inc.

Virginia ("Ginny") Bartlett is inBloom’s Chief Privacy Officer with more than fifteen years of experience in privacy and data protection. She is an expert at designing rights-based frameworks for emerging technologies and embedding protections within the operations. Ginny was one of the first chief privacy officers in the U.S. Her experience includes developing and operationalizing privacy policies and global programs for Merck, MetLife, and IMS Health, including corporate websites, cloud-based computing, and social media. Ginny is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), a founding member of the team that created the International Association for Privacy Professionals, and a founding sponsor and Board member of the Better Business Bureau privacy seal program, one of the first self-regulatory programs to include a consumer complaint resolution process.

Prior to her work in privacy, Ginny led corporate social responsibility and public affairs programs, and helped Sony Electronics achieve the “Most Trusted Company Award.” Ginny is a graduate of Columbia’s Teachers College program in mediation and has a bachelor’s degree in political science. Ginny lives in Chestnut Ridge, NY with her husband and two school-aged children. She serves on a local village Board and volunteers as a special education parent advocate.


Sharren Bates

Chief Product Officer 
inBloom, Inc.

As Chief Product Officer, Sharren Bates is responsible for the vision, strategy, design and development of all inBloom products and services.

Prior to joining inBloom in February 2013, Sharren’s excitement about the power of personalized learning and deep understanding of barriers to entry and innovation in the sector led her to her previous role as Senior Program Officer on the Next Generation Models team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. There she was one of the Foundation’s lead representatives on the Shared Learning Collaborative, and spearheaded the development of the inBloom technology services.

Prior to the Gates Foundation, Sharren worked on education policy at the federal level as an education analyst working on the National Broadband Plan at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Previously, she led the New York City Department of Education’s Achievement Reporting and Innovation System (ARIS) team, launching an integrated data reporting and collaboration system for the city’s 90,000 teachers and approximately 800,000 parents.

Sharren has been working at the intersection of education policy, classroom practice, and technology for the past eight years, and draws on fifteen years cross-industry experience delivering high-quality large-scale technology projects on time and on budget. She lives in New Hope, PA with her husband.


Amelia Fox

Chief Operating Officer 
inBloom, Inc.

As Chief Operating Officer, Amelia Fox is responsible for assisting the CEO in overseeing and sustaining the inBloom organization while preparing it for growth over the next several years. Amelia brings significant knowledge in developing customer-focused organizations as well as in designing and implementing programs to improve sales, marketing, channel management, and overall business processes in a career spanning over 20 years. She has led several organizational transformations, including the reorganization of a department of the NYC Public Schools to facilitate the devolution of funds to the school level. Additionally, she was the interim VP of marketing for a distance education company where she led the effort to reverse a two-year revenue decline. Amelia also led an engagement to assess the decision-making process in Indiana public school districts in preparation for their Race to the Top application. The assessment focused on effective decision-making use of data.

More recently, Amelia built the strategic planning team, process and plan for a company in the payments industry. With deep project management skills, she is well-versed in business process design, analytics and reporting, quality assessment, change management, training, education and facilitation. Amelia received her Bachelor's degree from Davidson College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Amelia lives in Roswell, Ga. with her husband, young son, and a rather vigorous chocolate lab.


Adam Gaber

Vice President of Communications 
inBloom, Inc.

Adam Gaber is inBloom’s Vice President of Communications. Adam offers more than 20 years of experience in communications beginning his career working public affairs for the United States Air Force. Adam also spent significant time working for public relations agencies based in New York City including Hill & Knowlton, KCSA Worldwide and Pepper. Prior to inBloom, for the past 12 years Adam has led communications for education companies including Cengage Learning and Pearson.

Adam is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s degree in history and a Master’s degree from Hawaii Pacific University in organizational change/change management. He lives in Connecticut with his wife Diane, a high school science teacher, four children and a “small herd” of Labrador retrievers.


Samir Joglekar

Senior VP of Sales, Marketing and Partnerships 
inBloom, Inc.

Samir Joglekar serves as inBloom’s senior VP of sales, marketing and partnerships. Samir combines a successful 25+ year career in the education and enterprise technology industries with a deep passion for how technology can improve our daily lives, productivity and efficiency.

Prior to inBloom, Samir worked at eInstruction, where he was instrumental in leading the sales and marketing efforts of three disparate companies and leading the effort to integrate and expand the market for their products being used in the classroom worldwide. Samir held sales and engineering positions and Dell Inc. and Apple.

Samir has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and has done graduate work in biomedical engineering. He lives in Atlanta, Ga. with his wife and two children.


Jat Pannu

SVP of Services 
inBloom, Inc.

Jat Pannu is the Senior Vice President of Services for inBloom with over 17 years of proven success in Service Delivery, Managed Services, Application Management Services and Product Development for both established companies and start-up environments. Jat has led the global delivery of education solutions and managed services for such companies as Promethean and IBM Global Services. While with Promethean, Jat successfully designed and implemented Promethean’s Global Professional Services Software and Services which included the solution, delivery and financial models for implementation of managed services, data integration, reporting, custom systems, and content development. Jat also effectively managed business development, delivery and overall client relationships for IBM Global Services. Jat has a proven track record of organization and process design for building early stage start-ups into leaders in SaaS, Enterprise and Consumer Products and Services. With an emphasis on customer relationships and satisfaction, he has partnered technology and offerings with strategic goals optimizing stakeholder value.

Prior to his work in Professional Services, Jat held several positions in engineering program management where he owned and managed the definition, planning, development, and delivery of technology solutions. Jat has a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Master’s degree in engineering from the University of California.


Garrett Suhm

Chief Technology Officer 
inBloom, Inc.

Garrett Suhm, inBloom’s Chief Technology Officer, is in charge of the development and operations of the inBloom platform. In his past, he has managed the implementation of many large data systems and products, in a career spanning 25 years. Many of the data systems he managed required sophisticated protections and control of massive amounts of sensitive and private data for both government and commercial organizations. He was also instrumental in the implementation of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) act for a major commercial provider. The FACT act provided for free credit information and helped reduce identity theft for consumers across the nation.

Prior to inBloom, Garrett was CTO for WorthPoint, a collectibles data company specializing in antiques and collectibles. He also was CTO for Lift Retail Marketing — a point-of-sale technology for small businesses. Before Lift, he was the SVP of Product Development for SilverPOP, a leading marketing automation company in Atlanta. Garrett lives in Marietta, GA, with his two children and one feisty golden retriever.
